Moon day

The best news today is that my cough has improved itself. My chest is less tight, my eyes less scratchy, and I can breathe through my nose. It is a great relief.

My friends came over today and insisted that we must hold an impromptu party, in celebration of my release from solitude. I did not mention Mishta, naturally, so we had palm wine from the coast hot and piping, and lay about like so many banana slugs and talked of the news since I was away. The reason this is not a good thing is that my hangover has already started, my inebriation has already faded, and that I much prefer my drinking to be done in the evening. I leave drinking the day away to Sev.

Pang’s teacher and I talked, and he complimented my son once more. I can only assume he does not like me for whatever reason, for he would not say as to any objections to our arrangement that he might have. He is simply chilly and unpleasant to be around, and as I dislike Pang having such lessons in the first place, I am pleased to dislike the teacher as well as the swordwork.

I am thoroughly enjoying my read. It appears that you welcome editorial comments, so I will make a few as I work my way to present.

I believe breath should be breathe.
